Job Description Job Description Job Title: Engineering Manager Job Description The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience in mechanical engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the amusement park industry managing projects. Responsibilities Lead and manage the engineering department, ensuring high standards of performance and productivity. Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of mechanical systems and components. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and adherence to timelines. Conduct regular reviews of design work and provide constructive feedback. Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Essential Skills Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Engineering. In-depth knowledge of steel construction, welding, fasteners, machining, bearings, wheels, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and human factors. At least 5 years of field experience in the amusement industry, specifically working on roller coasters or similar rides. A minimum of 5 years of management experience overseeing a team of engineers. Proficient in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and Solidworks. Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in Mechanical Engineering. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Mechanical/Electrical knowledge of transportation/conveyance systems is a plus. Motivated team player while assisting in running the engineering department. Work Environment This position is based on-site in St. Petersburg, operating Monday through Friday. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.06 - $84.13/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
