Title: Field/In-house Service Technician Department: Service Job
Overview: We are seeking a Field/In-house Service Technician
responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of Fixed
Gas Detection (FGD) and air sampling products. This role involves
in-house and field service, including calibration, start-up,
commissioning, maintenance, and customer training. The technician
will also manage service billing, maintain detailed reports, and
assist in promoting additional service agreements and sales
opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Perform field and in-house
service on gas detection equipment. Develop service agreements and
quotations for customers. Maintain professional relationships with
internal and external stakeholders. Provide accurate service
reports and initiate service billing. Plan travel arrangements for
service trips, ensuring timely and efficient service delivery.
Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, collaborating with
internal teams when needed. Conduct customer training on equipment
operation and maintenance. Actively solicit additional service
agreements and sales of instruments, spare parts, and accessories.
Maintain high technical knowledge on products and services.
Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent technical
training; 3-6 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing
electronic equipment. Strong customer service, problem-solving, and
technical skills. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Rental
car, Hotel, and per diem provided when traveling Must be able to
lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and enter confined spaces. Strong
communication skills and the ability to work independently. If
